Wear Orange Wednesday - 12 November 2014

Orange is the international colour for rescue services and is the colour worn by SES volunteers. WOW Day is the day to show your appreciation for the dedicated work of the 40,000 State Emergency Service (SES) volunteers across Australia, by wearing the colour orange.

SES volunteers spend a considerable amount of time training for and responding to community calls for assistance in times of natural disasters and other emergencies.

In Western Australia, to show recognition and appreciation for more than 2,100 WA SES volunteers, iconic locations around the state will be lit up orange and the SES flag will be flown at the DFES Emergency Services Complex.

So support your local SES volunteers by wearing something Orange on November 12th!
